Lifeguard Training – Review

The Red Cross lifeguard review course provides participants with a review of the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over.

This course is designed to recertify those who currently hold a red cross lifeguarding certification that is expiring soon.

Summer courses (sessions 8 and 9) are open only to SwimMetro Employees (or those seeking employment at a pool run by SwimMetro.

This course is designed to recertify those who currently hold a red cross lifeguarding certification that is expiring soon. If you do not know when your certificate will expire, you can find out using this link:

https://www.redcross.org/take-a-class/digital-certificate

There is a 30 day grace period after your certification lapses, but if it has been more than 30 days, you will need to retake the full lifeguard class.

Classes take place at the locations below from 10:00am – 8:00pm.

  • Swim Quest (6800 Deer Run Dr., Midlothian, VA 23112)
  • Evergreen Recreation Association (1201 Walton Bluff Parkway, Midlothian, VA 23114).

You will be contacted by email about a week before your class with the final location for your session.
