Thank you for your interest in receiving your American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification through SwimMetro Management, Inc. We offer both the initial lifeguard certification for new lifeguards and the lifeguard review certification for those who have already been lifeguard certified. Most courses are held on weekends or over holiday breaks and we offer several course formats to accommodate various schedules. Participants must be 15 years of age by the completion of the course and must be able to complete the following by the first day of the course:
Swim 300 yards without stopping
Retrieve a dive brick 20 yards away from the edge of the pool and from at least 10 feet deep in less than 1 minute and 40 seconds
Tread water for two minutes without using their arms
SwimMetro uses the American Red Cross Blended Learning program which utilizes online modules which must be completed prior to the start of the course. This allows participants more time to practice lifeguarding skills during class. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification which will be valid for 2 years.
